Quite similar to how it started (which i was pleased about) except for the riff which is not as good. Last but not least is Natureality which is a great way to end the album. Isolated reminds me of Monumental but what it lacks in vocals it gains in riffs.įor the first time on the album there is almost a solo during the chorus. Track 7 is Hinge () has a very samey riff to the other tracks with a constant fast pace. Its a perfect example of how this album really offers something original and brilliant.ĭont get me wrong, i love the album and every track has quality parts but for example this song could have ended earlier, im not a huge fan of the ending and a couple of other parts also. Now the next song Monumental starts off very slow but at the same time its very raw. Love the lyrics and the verses are superb, i think this is my favourite song on the album. Track 5 is a mega highlight on this album Chaosmind. Its quite a funky song really, heavy but quite easy to listen to. Once again the guitar is very different and the lyrics are quite potent.Īt first it didnt seem that special but the more i hear this song the better it gets. Track 3 Unseen is a lot slower and to be honest i really like Darrens voice when he sings like this. The vocal structure is something I really enjoy whenever Darren White is involved in a project and this song is no different. The second Now Its Over has a good intro riff and I really like the lyrical content in this song. I mean Darrens voice isnt everyones cup of tea but dead on 1 minute is a roar that everyone must love It is one of my most listened too songs and the reason i looked further into this band. Self Control Seizure brings out the best in Darren White and the riff is so addictive.

I dont understand that very well as Ive seen many great acts take leaps of faith with their style that led to creating something grand, and Promethean Misery has always been a great example of such. Tied Up With Strings impresses at every turn with a truly unique approach and heaviness abound that, literally, no other band can lay a finger on, and then top all that off with the beautiful vocals and glorious instrumentation to elevate this record to something else entirely.
